In Afrin, the Turkish occupation forces and their jihadist allies are brutally devastating nature. Forests are burned and farmland looted. Throughout all these aggressions, it is the people of Afrin who suffer most. Destroying the land in order to displace the people is a strategy used by Turkey for decades against the Kurdish civilian population throughout Kurdistan. In Afrin, the will of the occupier to impose a demographic change is clear, and the actions that are implemented to achieve these ends are war crimes. This report of the executive council of the canton of Afrin, an organ of the democratic self-administration, inventories these crimes.
